After much consideration and conversations with local musicians and singers I proposed a plan for a club dedicated to the preservation and promotion of country music as well as local talent.
On April 1, 2001, I invited 15 folk's I knew had the same interest, and love for country music as I do, for a meeting at which time I presented my proposal for the club.
The South Florida Country Music Club was born on that day. The club was actually a spin off of the New England Country Music Club I founded in 1967. The home of the New England Country Music Club is VFW Post 1385 in Uxbridge, Massachussetts.
I laid the foundation, implemented the NECMC Rule Book, revised to compliment the SFCMC. With that aside, the members have built the club up from that very humble beginning.
At present the club calls VFW Post 2007 in West Palm Beach, their home. Jamborees are held once a month usually on the last Sunday of each month.
Respectfully
